RM Sotheby’s auctions hypercars in Miami: Bugatti Bolide and LaFerrari should fetch millions

Written by Nick ter Arkel on 23 February 2026

If you have some change lying around and happen to be in Miami at the end of this month, auction house RM Sotheby’s has a nice offer for you. During the ModaMiami event, an estimated $85 million worth of rare car silver will go under the hammer. The headliners? Four hypercars where the mileage will make you cry.

The star of the show: Bugatti Bolide

The absolute highlight is a 2024 Bugatti Bolide. This is the ultimate swan song of the W16 engine: a pure track car with no compromises, with 1,578 hp and weighing less than 1,450 kilos. Bugatti built just 40 of them.

This particular example, finished in dark blue tinted carbon, comes from the first owner and has a laughable 77 miles (123 km) on the odometer. Apparently, the owner was quickly fed up with it, or (more likely) he bought it purely as an investment. Expected earnings are between $4.8 million and $5.5 million. It does come with a set of spare wheels and a helmet.

The rare Senna and the Pagani

For lovers of more exclusive British stuff, there is a McLaren Senna GTR ‘LM 25’ by Lanzante. Normally, a Senna GTR is not street-legal, but Lanzante converted it so you can just take it to the supermarket (if you survive the speed bumps). It is an absolute one-off in honour of McLaren’s 1995 Le Mans victory. Estimated value: $2-2.5 million.

Slightly ‘cheaper’, but just as striking, is the 2017 Pagani Huayra Roadster (number 39 out of 100). Finished in gorgeous ‘Rosso Dubai’ with visible carbon, and powered by the famous AMG V12. Mileage? Just 312 miles. Price tag: around $3 million to $3.5 million.

The $7 million LaFerrari

But the most expensive of the quartet is surprisingly the oldest. A 2015 Ferrari LaFerrari should fetch between $6 million and $7 million. The black hybrid V12 has run just 554 miles. Special detail from the paperwork: the new 2015 price was just under $1.5 million. Count your winnings.

The auction in Miami once again shows that hypercars like this are more often acting as a stock portfolio than a car these days. Wonderful to look at, but really a shame that they are never actually driven.
