Dat verrekte virus: Essen Motor Show 2020 afgelast

Zelfs de gelimiteerde en geventileerde versie van de Essen Motor Show blijkt nu ten prooi te vallen aan het coronavirus. Helaas geen Currywurst, Bier en getunede wagens in Essen.

De enige autoshow die er ng toe deed gaat dit jaar niet door. De Essen Motor Show 2020 is zojuist door de gemeente Essen gecanceld. De reden is de opleving van het coronavirus in een tweede golf. Nadat Nederland al eerder werd overvallen door een snelle opleving van het virus is nu ook in Duitsland de opmars van het aantal besmettingen begonnen.

Oliver Kuhrt, managing director van de beurshal in Essen: "We regret that the Essen Motor Show cannot take place this year. This is a particular disappointment for our exhibitors as they put a lot of heart and soul and passion into the fair. At the same time, we understand the decision of the city of Essen. The infection situation in Essen and beyond is very dynamic at the moment and has worsened considerably compared to last month. Even if no demonstrable risk of infection has been assumed by trade fairs in the past, we understand that in the current situation, safety and caution are the determining factors in the actions of politicians."

Helaas is de bedevaart naar Duitsland voor dit jaar dus uitgesloten. Hier een recept voor currywurst en bier haalt u daar.
