Nissan GT-R T-Spec brengt iconische Skyline-kleuren terug 

Een gelimiteerde oplage van de vermaarde R35 GT-R geeft een dikke knipoog naar voorgaande generaties. Met twee speciale lakkleuren doet de T-Spec eer aan de iconische Skyline GT-R.

Ondanks de dreiging van steeds strenger wordende milieu- en geluidseisen blijft Nissan vrolijk doorbanjeren met de GT-R. De R35-generatie is inmiddels alweer veertien jaar oud, maar er is nog steeds geen serieus teken van leven van een opvolger. Dus wat doe je met een inmiddels antiek model?

Juist: speciaaltjes presenteren. Nadat de opgefriste Nismo in april als een soort van afscheid gepresenteerd werd is Nissan terug met twee nieuwe gelimiteerde oplages: de GT-R Premium Edition T-Spec en GT-R Track Edition Engineered by NISMO T-Spec.

Minimale verbeteringen

Achter de pakkende namen gaan de kenmerkende minimale verbeteringen schuil. Zo is de 570 pk-sterke VR38DETT 3,8 liter twin turbo V6 onaangeraakt, maar is er gewicht bespaard door middel van carbon-keramische remmen en een carbon achterspoiler. Verder zijn bredere Rays wielen gemonteerd voor nog mee grip. De Track Edition Engineered by Nismo doet daar nog een carbo dak en kofferklep bij.

Als finishing touch krijgen de T-Specs een unieke motorbedekking, badges en een speciaal interieur mee om zich e onderscheiden van zijn mindere broertjes. Van elke variant worden er slechts honderd exemplaren gemaakt. Volgens de Japanners staat de 'T' voor de GT-R als trendsetter en tractiekoning.

Midnight Purple IV

Allemaal leuk en aardig, maar het echte nieuws zit in de toevoeging van twee optionele lakkleuren: Midnight Purple en Millennium Jade. Het bijzondere paars verwierf legendarische status met drie gelimiteerde varianten (I, II, III) op de R33 en R34 Skyline GT-R.

Voor de R35 heeft de kleur meer groen meegekregen, wat volgens Nissan geïnspireerd is op de tinten van het noorderlicht. De vierde variant van de kleur wordt meteen de zeldzaamste: Midnight Purple I (2510), II (347) en III (199) kwamen allemaal meer voor.

Millennium Jade

De tweede speciale kleur is meer ingetogen Millennium Jade. De groengrijze lak werd bekend als een van opties op de afzwaai-editie van de R34: de Skyline GT-R V-Spec (of M-Spec) Nür. Er werden destijds slechts 300 Skylines (144 M-Spec, 156 V-Spec) in deze tint geproduceerd. Wederom weet de R35 die exclusiviteit dus te overtreffen.

Exclusief blijven de GT-R Premium Edition T-Spec en Track Edition Engineered by Nismo sowieso. Alle tweehonderd auto's zijn namelijk alleen bedoeld voor de Japanse markt. De Premium gaat weg voor 15.904.900 yen, oftewel 122.345 euro. Voor de Track ben je ¥17.881.600 (€137.527) kwijt. De orderboekjes staan al open.

Zonda-esque

We zijn erg benieuwd of dit dan toch echt de laatste adem voor de R35 zal zijn. Het continu opvijzelen van de GT-R begint Pagani Zonda-esque vormen aan te nemen. Wellicht zijn we tegen 2037 dan toch eindelijk toe aan de langverwachte R36. We zullen er in Europa helaas weinig van gaan merken.
